"After many months of working together, both HTH Corporatio and PBH Management LLC have concluded that PacififBeach Corp. is better positionee to focus on this perfectly locate d hotel and to attainthe property's long term businesas goals," said Robert "Mick" Minicola, HTH Corp. regionaol vice president said inthe statement.
"We'lo work together to make sure ther are minimal interruptions and it will be businessa as usual for hotel guests. We have appreciated the flexibilityg and professionalism of PBHManagement LLC." The Pacific Beach Hotekl has been involved in contentious contract negotiationsd with the International Longshore Workers Union since the uniobn narrowly won an election to organizwe its 480 workers in 2004. The ILWU steppes up its pressure on the hotel this summeer with pickets and letters toprospective guests.
PBH took over the contractf negotiations when it assumed management of the hotel and presumably will hand the bargaining back to HTH Mel Wilinsky, executive vice president of PBH could comment beyond the news release. HTH founded by the late Herbert T. also owns the in Honolulu.
