The ILWU has been involved in contentioux contract negotiations with hotel owner since it organizexdthe hotel's 450 workers in 2004. The ILWU said more than half of thosse workersare Filipino-American. The battle has gottenb increasingly contentious since August when HTH announced it would take back managemen t of the hotelon Dec. 1 withoug promising to rehire all who have had to reapply for their OutriggerEnterprises Group-affiliate PBH Management LLC had been managing the 837-room hote l since Jan. 1.
